Pediatric Airway Screening
Children can show signs of airway and sleep concerns in ways that may look different from adults. Symptoms may include mouth breathing, snoring, restless sleep, bedwetting, behavioral challenges, difficulty focusing, crowded teeth, narrow arches, chronic congestion, or enlarged tonsils/adenoids.
Pediatric airway screening helps identify risk factors early and recognize opportunities to support healthy growth and structural development, guiding families toward appropriate medical, dental, orthodontic, myofunctional, or ENT evaluation when needed.
-
Parents may be asked to complete a pediatric sleep and airway questionnaire and share concerns about sleep, breathing, behavior, growth, dental development, or previous medical evaluations.
-
We will review symptoms, oral development, breathing patterns, tonsil area when visible, dental crowding, jaw development, and other airway-related findings.
-
Families may receive recommendations for further evaluation. This could include an ENT, pediatrician, orthodontic provider, myofunctional therapist, sleep physician, or other collaborative care provider.
